O’Neal said: “They have found a way to win more easily. If you are in this system, you will be traded to a certain team or selected to a certain team. Now the free players form teams with each other, like me, Thomas and Wilkins don’t like this. I like to see people compete with each other.
“If I knew it was feasible, every time the bull beat us, I might team up with Jordan. If I knew it was feasible, I might go to Spurs to play basketball and form a team with Duncan and David Robinson. But I didn’t. I want to learn how to be a champion.”
