Live Bar, January 7 -heat star Adebayor recently accepted an interview with NBA official website reporter Mark Medina and evaluated his defense.
In the past two seasons, Adebayor has been selected as the second best defensive player of the year and ranked fourth among the best defensive players of the year.
In response, he said: “I think I have been the best defender in the league in the past two seasons, no doubt. However, the media only like to report the stories of top players and high-ranking rookie, and they are not interested in players like me who are not so high-ranking players. Our team is almost made up of not too high ranking like me, even falling off the draft. It sounds like a good story, but the media just don’t like it. The low attention of the media made our achievements in the Eastern finals not respected enough.”
“I think I am the best defender in the league. I can defend from No. 1 to No. 5. I can defend anyone on the court. In the past few seasons, this is the true reflection of my performance on the defensive side. It was through defense that I came to this point. This feeling will never disappear. I will always hold the same mentality and hope to enter the top five of the alliance at both ends of attack and defense.”
